AC Matthews is hiring a Sales Representative to join our Roofing and Exteriors sales team. This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity supported by a strong operational platform, proven processes, and a respected local brand. Our sales reps own the full project lifecycle, with direct control over outcomes and reputation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, sign and manage projects
  • Promptly respond to, schedule and manage company-provided leads
  • Inspect properties and identify scope accurately
  • When insurance is involved, coordinate with insurance company and homeowner
  • Build detailed, accurate estimates
  • Coordinate with production and office teams
  • Communicate consistently with prospects and active clients
  • Request and collect payments
  • Ask for referrals and repeat business
  • Participate in ongoing training to sharpen sales, product, and technical knowledge

PHYSICAL & PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle capable of carrying a ladder
  • Ability to climb ladders and walk roofs safely
  • Willingness to perform minor repairs (30 minutes or less)
  • Comfort working outdoors and on active job sites
  • Calm and confident in conversationRoofing or exterior construction experience is valuable, but success here depends on coachability and the ability to rapidly absorb and apply technical knowledge.
